Watercolors Christine Hagner's watercolors are always created directly on site. While traveling or in the surrounding area. Applying the paint to dry paper allows for quick work and a reduced representation of the scenery.

India The extreme contrast between the dusty landscapes of Rajasthan and the bright colors that people surround themselves with is one of the optical contradictions that are so interesting in painting.

The omnipresent, fine sand softens the sun's rays and bathes the landscape in a pleasant, soft light.

Heat and wind allow the colors to dry quickly - ideal conditions for watercolor painting. Publication:

India - a journey through images Christine Hagner / Illustrated book DIN A4 landscape / 48 pages, hardcover  Asia with its friendly people and lively cities is always fascinating for travelers from the West. Every country has its own characteristics and peculiarities.

In my watercolors I capture the everyday things in life. In the country and in the cities, in markets or on the side of the road. Publication: Asia - a journey through images / Christine Hagner / Illustrated book DIN A4 landscape / 48 pages, hardcover

Acrylic The works are created by quickly applying paint with a spatula or with almost liquid colors or pigments. This "print template" is printed on a second canvas. This creates additional, unplanned shapes and structures. Repeated printing gradually creates interesting transparent and opaque layers of color. This "controlled loss of control" allows for new, random developments in an image.

Scotland, Highlands The monochrome colors of the vast Scottish landscape in winter are the inspiration for this series.

People People in an urban environment, as we encounter them every day. Shopping, in the park, walking or skating. The figures are reduced to outlines like a paper cutout, the faces deliberately not worked out. It could be any of us.

Portraits Women who have made a decisive contribution to important aspects of our lives. For this, expressive faces of older people, on which life has already left their mark, were deliberately chosen. Christine Hagner
